Pain5.ca is a developing physician-led pain-management service. Its initial clinical focus is physician-provided acupuncture for appropriate pain conditions.

Acupuncture is provided by a physician licensed to practise medicine in Prince Edward Island.

No. Pain has many causes and acupuncture is not appropriate for every patient or every condition. The physician will assess whether it may be reasonable to consider in your circumstances.

No outcome can be guaranteed. Individual responses vary.

Acupuncture is an uninsured service under the PEI Health Services Payment Act Regulations. Pain5.ca charges privately only for services that may lawfully be provided on a private-pay basis. If the treating physician determines that you require an insured medical service, diagnostic assessment or another publicly insured healthcare service, that service will not be sold privately through Pain5.ca.

No. Pain5.ca does not sell preferential access to publicly insured physician services.

There is no predetermined treatment schedule suitable for everyone. The physician will discuss treatment and follow-up based on your individual circumstances.
